As you watch.. take notes.. How does Shawn engage the audience? Does he have a thesis? a Main point?
How does he begin his speech? As far as his rhetoric, does it motivate? captivate? How and when does he make solid points regarding happiness? Does he incorporate facts, percentages and statistics into his speech? How does he maintain his credibility. What did you like/dislike about the speech? What did you learn?
We will go over this in class when the speeches are complete. Try to watch it before you give your speech. It helps to watch others perform speeches. You can develop skills by both watching speeches and performing speeches!
We will discuss it and I Will REFER to his speech on Thursday!
