 "Informative Speech" SCHEDULE!!! BEGINS *** 10/14

Informative Speech- 20%









TASK: A six to eight minute speech informing the audience about an object, concept, process, or event. 
Think about something you learned about, what to learn more about and want to share. 
Your speech should follow the guidelines for effective informative discourse presented in 
Chapter 15 pgs. 283-303 in The Art of Public Speaking by Lucas. 
Use of 2 visual aids is required
A typed full sentence preparation outline of the speech, including a Works Cited Page is due the day of your 
presentation.

Research/ Works Cited Page!

I will ask that you POST YOUR POSSIBLE TOPICS IN ADVANCE.
THERE WILL BE A CLEAR PAGE DESIGNATED
FOR YOUR TOPICS.

I will also ask that students discuss in class  the sources they will  use.
This means that you will provide THREE (3) sources and for each source you are 
asked to include a paragraph explaining how you incorporated that particular source into your speech.
