On the second day of class, I ask all of you to print the formal outline format. You were asked to follow the format in order to write a successful speech.
HERE IT IS AGAIN!!!
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZBgx3yEJxqKTfPOfwB3AwoTLqWf9wKVAxgvuKrtYuSc/edit?usp=sharing
Please note that you must follow the format that was given to you in the beginning of the semester.
Please see above "Formal Outline Sheet". I posted it again.
I will give my students this ONE TIME GIFT TO REDO the outline. I will stress today and always that you must follow the outline format for speeches.
WARNING!!!!! STUDENTS WHO DO NOT ADHERE TO THE FORMAL OUTLINE REQUIREMENTS WILL GREATLY JEOPARDIZE THEIR GRADE!
IF YOU RECEIVE A REDO you must revise your outline within one week. You are required to visit the writing center and attach a sheet from the tutor to the back of your revised OUTLINE!
Going forward .... Visit the Writing Center (Library 2nd Floor) before every speech!
Students who do not receive full credit on their outline will lose points on their speech. The outline is CLEAR, ORGANIZED and straight forward! If you have any questions YOU ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO VISIT ME DURING MY OFFICE HOURS ANYTIME!
In addition, I always make extra time for my students! You are free to ask me questions after class. WE can walk and talk, schedule an appointment or plan to correspond via email. Under no circumstances should you feel alone in this endeavor. YOU should make every effort to complete the formal outline in an academic fashion and adhere to the standard college format for writing speeches and presenting speeches.
Please keep in mind that you should PROOFREAD WRITTEN WORK BEFORE YOU HAND IT IN! YOU MUST HAVE A PROPER HEADING AND A THESIS.. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS STRIVE TO WRITE YOUR VERY BEST IN ACADEMIA! TAKE IT SERIOUSLY! THE OUTLINE IS VITAL TO YOUR SUCESS IN THIS CLASS!
I POSTED TWO FORMAL OUTLINES FROM LAST SEMESTER AS A PAGE ABOVE!
* PLEASE COMPLETE THE ACHOR ASSIGNMENT!! I WILL REFERENCE IT NEXT CLASS. IT WILL AID YOU IN THE SPEAKING /WRITING PROCESS!
