ReplyDeleteGood Morning professor Brady. I hope u are doing well, I hope the rest of the class is doing good as well staying safe. I watched the video and went over the power point for the persuasive speech. I've been trying to keep up with the news the best i can from what I've seen i would say that Governor Cuomo is a good speaker. When he holds a press conference I always understand what hes talking about, he has his power point and visuals next to him, helping the audience digest the information. He also does a great job being a leader, having stern and comforting tone, he gives the audience honest answers. But his speech are not all facts and gloom I also appreciate his ability to include some humor in his speeches.

Hi professor Brady! Missing you a little too much today. I hope the rest of the class is doing well. I miss seeing everyone and hope everyone is safe. Thank you for posting a video, it helped me understand the topic a little more and of course seeing you is always nice. I also wanted to know if "Fake News" was a topic I could give my speech on.

DeleteI love the idea of creating a persuasive speech regarding "fake news". It is a very interesting and valuable topic in that it does permeate the gen z mindset in this post modern media realm.. YOU will have to develop a persuasive speech that takes a POSITION on Fake News.. you must see the other side... then go back to your position. I think it can be creative, compelling and persuasive!Do your research! LOVE IT!
Professor Brady, hope you and your family are staying safe. I'm sure we are all missing you and your songs. I think Cuomo is very knowledgeable about what he's saying, he's very clear and articulate, and he makes the audience understand and feel how serious this pandemic is and how serious it is in New York right now. One thing I think he should work on is using more vocal variety.

What is wrong with scaring your neighbors? Let them see the real you. I have also go over the PowerPoint and speech schedule. I look forward to researching a topic and learning more.
Between Trump, Cuomo and de Blasio, Cuomo seems to be the most prepared and knowledgeable on what he is talking about. He delivers his points well, he is organized and respectful of those he is talking to. I think he puts the President and Mayor of NYC to shame, just my honest opinion.

DeleteHi Brady! Hope all is well. I miss being in our fun class, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I think Cuomo is a really good speaker. I've been watching the news almost every day since this started, and he really tries to comfort people and ease feelings. He's very smart in tying his own experiences with the situation into his speeches. He talks about struggling with his own family when it comes to his daughters and mother, and many people relate to that and find comfort in it. It's a very smart skill to use during this time.

Hello Professor Brady! I hope your family is well, and thank you for being so organized with everything and clear it makes it so much easier. Many New Yorkers have mixed opinions about Cuomo, however through this pandemic he is still able to gain peoples attention and get his point across to everyone. Governor Cuomo also has a distinctive voice, if I were in my kitchen and the TV was on without looking at the screen I would be able to tell it's him. His use of vocal variety I feel is what helps him the most.

I have been watching Cuomo almost every day through this mess and I have to say I think from a speaking standpoint he does very well. When talking to the public he knows how to get the point across in a clear and simple manner. Cuomo appeals to the audience by creating a family-friendly environment and sometimes even comical when having his brother on live.

To answer your question I am doing well, although things are a bit hectic. I hope you and your family are doing well, and staying safe. I have been watchin Governor Cuomo pretty much everyday, and I feel like he is a good speaker. I always walk away from the conferences feeling very informed about the situation.
