The informative speeches are coming along!!! We have a few more days of speeches and then DIVE INTO "The Persuasive Speech".
I plan to introduce Persuasive Speaking, The Assignment and The Schedule next week.

Note to my 140 class: I was impressed with many speeches in your class!! Remember, an informative speech teaches the class an idea. It breaks it down. The informative should be compelling and encompass all of the techniques I taught you over the last 6 weeks!!

THE Conclusion is Important! It should be powerful!!
Think about ways to incorporate your research in an effective manner!!!
Your ideas should resonate and engage the audience!!!

Think about the way she delivers the information in a clear and coherent fashion.
Does she appeal to the audience on a multitude of levels?
Structural, Emotional, Visual and Logical.
An informative speech serves a purpose.. It teaches us and we learn from it.
The speaker has the responsibility to capture the audience in a way that brings forth emotion and logic. The speaker should establish credibility. We as the audience take away a variety of ideas based on the impact of the speech!!
